first a little history, the followin was writin in JANUARY of 2010!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After not having a Lude for 3 months i finally found one for a decent price.

Found it out in Pasadena area, and bought for dirty cheap!!
Got it towed home.
Upon tryin to get it up my driveway it threw a rod! The motor was going out, I basiclly bought a shell. It has the B21a1 in it.

So far I've done nothing to the new Lude.

-But to my old Lude I have dropped the motor in it, was planning on re-using it, but opted out for a B20a5 I have laying around.
-Upon dropping the motor I found a fist side hole in the transmision!!!!
-I was planning on removing the 4WS on it, but gave up, I already have one laying aroun
-Took out all my shocks with coilover sleeves
-Took out my cross drilled rotors
-took out rear tail lights
-removed stereo and speakers
-removed Power steering lines w/ pump

Basicly thats all I've been doing to my old Lude
Yes i will post pics as soon as i can. At the moment I'm trying to move fast. Transferring all components from the b21 to the b20 as I type. Hopefully i will be done tonight.

This was the removal of the motor out of my 1990 Lude

So by now I had clear up my driveway and was now able to work on my new body.

at the moment I was unemployed so i did wat i could to get the car running and did little possibly i was able to.

I added some things to my new Lude

MUDFLAPs ((gettin hard to find these))
jozeys progress/slow build thread Untitled-1

By mid january I had done the followin:

. .well today i had to repull the motor out and bolt the transmission on it out of the car. But got it back in and now its bolt up. Just gotta add small things to it and what not plus a tune up.

For giggles i tried cranking it and YES it rotated so it looking good. TOMORROW will be the day that it turns on.

I still have to:

Put coilovers in front
Put alternator
put A.C compressor
Put belts on it
Wheels on it
Tidy up engine bay
Radiator w/ fans
coolant
Oil change
Spark plugs

and i think that should be it guys so wish me luck and hope for the best that it cranks and runs on the first try!!!!

Then on JANUARY 14 i gave birth to my current Lude:

TODAY:

-Installed radiator today with all coolant lines along with fans
-Added coolant and topped off the oil
-Checked all the main relays again
-Rechecked all my wiring and connections

Then went for the first try and she started after 2 seconds of cranking with out any hesitation. So decided to take her for a test drive. Bolted up my wheels and tighten up my axle nuts. And off I went for a test drive.

Developed code 16 after a minute of driving, which is FUEL INJECTOR
So I make it home and appereantly she was driving on 3 cylinders
I was surprised it drove on only 3!!!!
Turns out the #2 injector clip wasnt hooked up all the way.
Plug it in and reset ECU
No more check engine light and idled like it should

So a 2nd test drive was in order and she drove and felt so much stronger than the first one!!
Not to mention super loud as hell. She was running with open down pipe.
Made it home adjusted timing and added the muffler and is much quieter now.
Added some intake on it.
Now i just gotta get some HONDA power steering fluid and attach the belt then i should have power steering!!!

Still have to change out the spark plugs and wires along with the distributor cap and rotor.

Hasnt over heated or anything at all nor have I noticed any leaks of any kind

So I can proudly say I brought new life to this Prelude.

Funny thing I was tryin to get her running last year around this time, funny how this year too and on january too that i'm tryin to get her running again too.

Posted this on another forum lol

Well I think its funny how the prelude curse acts at times.
Last crazy symptom tat happen to the Lude was a bad weird idle, turn out to be a bad injector seal. Now that i recall i had bought all those seals for that one injector from advance auto parts. In other words their parts are no good, gave me a major headache for the longest time!!! So some parts are better bought OEM!!!

well I fixed tat one symptom, the car run a lot better, fuel MPGs were a lot better. So upon the motor runnin strong, or like it actually should. A few weeks later I spun a bearing!!!

I think its funny, cuz new years day i was thinking about all my hard work and time i put into this car. Then BAM spun bearing. I knew it was bound to happen but not this quick. I was able to still drag out almost 20xxx miles more out this motor tat had an annoying knock. Tat now turns out to be a spun bearing on #3 of a B20a5 from an 88 prelude model. To my knowledge this motor almost lasted up to 180xxx, with the only major work done to her was a t-belt and water pump job.

Now tat motor sits around waitin for its revival . . . i have some plans for this block (;

I already have a block to go into place, just didnt expect it to be this soon.
I will be droppin a stock JDM b20a block, I plan to slightly build the top end.
The head will be gettin shaved to the most it can, i dont care if its a one time use head I gots plenty lol. new valve seals, H22 springs, B21 exhaust cam. B18 intake cam, mild port IM. Cam gears, full 3.0 exhaust, upgraded ignition, gonna try to just haveonly a alternator running and have a manual rack.

Those are the plans i will try to get into this motor going into OUT OF THE CEREAL BOX.
Plans might change along the way, but basilly tats how she sits

Well she was done, but develop problems aster it got dropped.

Guess its wat happens when you let a car sit for 2 yrs, I've gotten most of them solved since they all have been electrical issues.
