k/20 with k/24 head?

thinking about putting a k24 head on my k20. i heard it lags power unless you go boost. but idk

Yea it would theoretically lag cause if u could imagine the k24 block has bigger cylnders then the k20 block
And so any k24 head on a k20 block would create lag because the compression chamber is a lot bigger than the k20 head, best k24 head for boost would be the a4 head lowest compression head on the k24 block so it would be even lower on a k20 block
But if u do boost it would hav to be a bit more than 5-9 psi
U might need to get forged pistons, rods, ect..

why would you puc a biger head on?
u want more compression so u can port nd polish, nd shave a lil from the head nd ull b makin good power!

o ok well that case ya or u could have done the k24 head, put biger injectors and nd retune your air/fuel ratio nd you should be good!

I would think that the best possible franken motor would be K20z3 head on K24 bottom end... The z3 head apparently makes more power than the a2 head when attached to the K24 bottom end... Or so Ive read.
